Jawbone has announced its new UP4 that monitors users’ activity, sleep, heart rate and also allows via American Express. The $200 wrist-worn device lets users with an eligible American Express Card connect their accounts with Jawbone’s app and tap the UP4 on a store terminal to pay for their purchases. With its payments-enabled wearable, Jawbone poses a challenge to Apple, whose Watch allows for cashless transactions too. The UP4 will go on sale on the company’s site this summer.
