The senator who wrote Section 230 weighs in on the president’s executive order, which attacks social media platforms by aiming to reduce legal protections for the content their users post. Trump signed an executive order Thursday that could take away social media companies’ current exemption from civil suits stemming from harmful content posted to the platforms by users.
