Being invited to join the jury of the Lusophone Creativity Awards is more than a professional recognition - it is a distinction that reflects years of dedication to innovation, communication, and creativity. In 2025, Luís Cordeiro, founder and CEO of BYDAS – Digital Communication Agency, joins the jury panel of the festival’s 13th edition in the category of e-commerce, which distinguishes the best e-commerce work in Portuguese-speaking countries.
With a career spanning over 25 years in the digital world and a partnership with Shopify since 2011, Luís Cordeiro brings to the jury a rare strategic and technical vision within the Lusophone ecosystem - that of someone who has lived, created, and driven dozens of leading e-commerce projects in Portugal and abroad, as well as his active involvement in projects in Angola and Mozambique.

A festival that celebrates creativity in Portuguese
Created in Lisbon in 2015, the Lusophone Creativity Awards are organized by the Lisbon International Advertising Festivals Group and have, in less than a decade, established themselves as one of the most prestigious events in the global creative industry.
They are, in fact, the only global festival dedicated exclusively to celebrating creativity in Portuguese-speaking countries, bringing together professionals and agencies from Angola, Brazil, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, Timor-Leste, and Portugal.
The festival stands out for the rigor of its jury and its ability to bring cultures and markets closer together, promoting the exchange of ideas and valuing the Portuguese language as a vehicle for innovation and artistic expression. The 13th edition, with its final event scheduled for December 11, once again brings together an international jury panel made up of creative leaders, strategists, filmmakers, and brand directors.
In this context, the presence of Luís Cordeiro reinforces the connection between creativity and technology, in an era when e-commerce has become one of the pillars of the global economy.

The vision of a pioneer in Portuguese e-commerce
Since founding BYDAS almost 16 years ago, Luís Cordeiro has been at the forefront of digital transformation in Portugal.
The agency was born with a clear mission: to help brands and companies grow sustainably through technology, strategy, and integrated communication.
Long before e-commerce became a mainstream trend, BYDAS was already developing complete e-commerce operations, supporting brands from strategic planning to implementation and optimization of online stores.
The recognition of Luís Cordeiro as a jury member is therefore the culmination of a journey built on excellence and consistency.
Since 2011, when it became an official Shopify Partner, BYDAS has established itself as one of Portugal’s pioneering e-commerce agencies, developing tailored solutions for Shopify, Shopify Plus, and complex integrations with ERP, CRM, and logistics platforms.
Its work ranges from small, growing brands to major international operations, always with a vision focused on performance, user experience, and scalability.
The jury’s role and the importance of e-commerce in the new creative economy
The Lusophone Awards jury panel is composed of leading professionals from Portuguese-speaking countries, with profiles ranging from creative directors and brand strategists to business leaders and digital innovation experts.
Each juror is selected for their ability to evaluate not only creativity and technical execution but also the real impact of ideas on the market.
In the case of Luís Cordeiro, this evaluation takes on a special dimension: e-commerce today is one of the most challenging areas of contemporary communication, requiring a balance between usability, performance, design, and brand storytelling.
Being a juror in this category means understanding the value of digital experience - from storytelling to conversion - and recognizing projects that can merge aesthetics, functionality, and purpose.
Luís Cordeiro’s contribution promises to bring to the jury a results-driven perspective while maintaining a focus on the creativity that sets brands apart in an increasingly competitive digital environment.
